More Senior Terrorist Commanders Killed by Unknown Attackers in Northwestern Syria

Two notorious commanders of Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) and Jund al-Aqsa terrorist groups were killed by unidentified raiders in Idlib province on Saturday.

More Senior Terrorist Commanders Killed by Unknown Attackers in Northwestern SyriaTEHRAN (Defapress)- Mohammad Saleh Qatish, a field commander of Jund al-Aqsa, was killed after unknown raiders who opened fire at him in the village of Ma'ar Zita South of the town of Kafr Nubl in Southern Idlib.

In the meantime, Abu Aisha Tunisi, a notorious commander of Tahrir al-Sham, was also killed by unknown attackers in the village of Hass Southwest of the town of Ma'arat al-Nu'aman in Southern Idlib.

Also, a number of Tahrir al-Sham militants were killed or wounded after unknown attackers stormed their base in the town of Sarmada in Idlib province.

A base of Tahrir a-Sham also came under rocket attack in the town of al-Dana in Northern Idlib that left a number of fighters dead or wounded.

Tensions among terrorist groups have gone high amid reports of the Syrian Army's upcoming large-scale operation in Idlib province.

Field sources in Idlib province reported on Thursday that Tahrir al-Sham put on alert its members in the two towns of Ma'arat Misrin and Idlib as well as Jabal al-Zawiyeh region in Southern Idlib and erected several new military checkpoints.

They added that the measure was adopted after several Tahrir al-Sham commanders were killed during assassination operations.

Meantime, a number of Tahrir al-Sham terrorists were killed and wounded after a bomb was detonated in their car in the town of Sarmin in Southeastern Idlib.

Also, explosion of a bomb-laden car in front of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) base in the town of al-Tamanna in Southern Idlib killed several militants and civilians and wounded a large number of others.

In Northern Idlib, unknown assailants attacked the National Liberation Front terrorist group's base in the village of Tala'adah Northeast of al-Dana region, killing and wounding a number of militants.

Explosions, infighting and assassination attempts among the terrorist groups have stirred extensive insecurities in Idlib in recent months.
