PA Minister Injured by Israeli Rubber-Coated Bullets near Ramallah

Minister Walid Assaf, Chairman of the Commission against the Wall and Settlements, was injured when he was shot by rubber-coated bullets by Israeli soldiers in the village of Ras Karkar, near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

PA Minister Injured by Israeli Rubber-Coated Bullets near RamallahTEHRAN (Defapress)- Assaf said he was partaking in a nonviolent protest against Israeli plans to confiscate lands in the village when Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated steel rounds at them, WAFA reported, adding that he was shot and lightly injured in his left ear.

Two of his escorts were also injured in the hand and leg respectively after being shot by rubber-coated bullets.

The minister called for further protests to confront Israel’s attempts to take over Palestinians’ lands in the village.
