The 7th international conference on British-Omani Relations between the 17th century and the 19th century began Tuesday morning and is expected to be wrapped up on October 10.
Oman's National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) is the host of the conference with 42 researchers participating in the event from around the world. The research papers will be published in a book that will be released.
Hamad bin Mohammed al-Dhoyani, Head of NRAA is presiding the conference.
In the margin of the conference, an exhibition will be held showcasing ancient works, including maps and diplomatic messages exchanged between Oman and the UK.
The exhibition will continue until October 12.
