Sultan Qaboos' Reception of Netanyahu Unwise
TEHRAN (defapress)- Advisor to the Iranian Parliament Speaker Hossein Amir Abdollahian strongly criticized senior Omani officials for allowing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to visit the Muslim state.
"The meeting with Netanyahu is far from the wisdom of Oman’s Sultan Qaboos," Amir Abdollahian wrote on his Twitter account on Saturday.
He reiterated that the Palestine Deal of the Century will not be fruitful for US President Donald Trump and Netanyahu.
Netanyahu, heading a delegation, made an unannounced visit to Oman on Thursday night, which was kept secret until Netanyahu's return home. This is the first visit by an Israeli leader to the sultanate in over two decades. The Israeli delegation comprised Director of Mossad spy agency Yossi Cohen and the occupying regime's National Security Advisor Meir Ben-Shabbat.
