TEHRAN(defapress)- The Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) says Islamic unity is not a ceremonial affair, tactic or political expediency, rather being times superior to strategy.

Islamic unity not a ceremonial affairSpeaking as a pre-sermon lecturer in the Friday prayers congregation of Tehran on the occasion of the '32nd International Conference of Islamic Unity', Ayatollah Mohsen Araki described the Week of Unity, as a week of empathy, message and solidarity, saying that the issue of unity in the Islamic system, the Islamic revolution and the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran is an essential issue.

The Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stated, “Unity for the Islamic community is identity and today, as a result of the unity of the Islamic society, the Iranian nation will be empowered by the unity and obedience of god's command. However, we have problems, but it's natural and God has announced that you will have these problems.”

As many as 100 Muslim countries will be represented in the 32nd International Conference of the Islamic Unity, which is to be held in Tehran from November 24-26.

President Hassan Rouhani will address the inaugural ceremony of the meeting on Saturday and one of the most special programs of the conference is to explain the achievements of the Islamic Republic in the last 40 years.
