According to Azertag News Agency, Aslanov who is visiting Kuwait to attend the 46th annual conference of the Federation of Arab News Agencies said the positive impact of FANA is the major achievement of Kuwait's presidency of the media federation.
He expressed gratitude to the presidents of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and FANA for helping and supporting the international news agencies.
'Aslanov said he is willing to cooperate with FANA and KUNA in providing transparent and neutral coverage of news,' Azertag wrote.
He pointed out to the challenges and problems facing the media, adding publishing inaccurate and false news on some media including social media is a serious concern.
Aiming at facilitating information dissemination in the region, OANA was founded in 1961 and is supported by the United Nations cultural entity, the UNESCO.
The organization covers two thirds of the world population and has 44 members from 35 countries of Asia and Oceania including Iran.
The 43rd OANA Executive Board Meeting was hosted by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in Iran in September.
Headquartered in Lebanon, the Federation of Arab News Agencies which was established in 1975 has 18 news agencies as its members.
The federation aims at strengthening the cooperation among Arab news agencies and exchanging experience among them.
Since 2015, KUNA has been the president of the Federation of Arab News Agencies.
