Kurdish Militia Dispatches More Gunmen to Northern Syria's Border with Turkey Amid Ankara Forces' Preparation

TEHRAN (defapress)- The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) forwarded more militants and equipment to the borderline with Turkey in Raqqa, Hasaka and Aleppo provinces as the Turkish army readies to launched a major assault on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River, fields sources said on Friday.

Kurdish Militia Dispatches More Gunmen to Northern Syria's Border with Turkey Amid Ankara Forces' PreparationThe sources said that the SDF sent a long convoy of military vehicles from Ein Issa in Raqqa province to the border with Turkey.

The went on to say that the SDF convoy included 11 military vehicles and almost 75 gunmen that left a base under the US forces' control to Northern Raqqa at the border with Turkey.

In the meantime, the SDF announced that it has forwarded more military convoys to the towns of Ra'as al-Ein in Hasaka and Ein al-Arab in Aleppo.

The sources further said that the US forces are expanding their base in Ein Issa.   

The Kurdish-language Hawar news reported on Thursday that the 'Executive Council for Autonomous Forces in Northern and Eastern Syria' ordered all troops to go on alert after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened to launch military operations against Kurds in coming days.

The Kurdish forces in a statement claimed Ankara attempts to support the ISIL, calling on the US-led coalition, the international community, specially the UN, and the NATO members to voice opposition to Ankara's aggressive plans.

Meantime, commander of Ferqat al-Hamzeh, affiliated to the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) terrorist group, said that nearly 20,000 FSA militants are prepared to take part in the Turkish army's military operations against Kurds in Eastern Euphrates, specially the town of Manbij in Aleppo and Tal Abyadh in Raqqa.
