Hostility with Iran soon to result in US downfall

It said the US held Warsaw conference to get Europeans to join it in piling up pressure on Iran.

'The Trump administration tried to make this week’s Middle East conference in Warsaw what the administration had intended it to be all along: an Iran-bashing exercise that would get Europeans to join in more of the bashing. But the conference instead became what most European governments—whose attendance at the gathering was spotty and often low-level—warned it would be: a demonstration not of US-European unity on policy toward Iran but instead of disunity.'

The former CIA official underlined that the US policy of maximum hostility toward Iran has led to Washington isolation and has only left a few regional rivals of Tehran like Zionist regime, Saudi Arabia and the UAE as partners for White House.

'In its obsessive campaign of stoking maximum hostility toward Iran, the Trump administration is isolated except for partnering with Iran’s regional rivals, which means Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.'

It added that the regimes follow their own objective of showing Iran as enemy, which has nothing to do with the US interests and the Middle East peace and stability.

'These regimes have their own reasons for keeping Iran a pariah—reasons that are distinct from US interests and distinct from any fondness for peace and stability in the Middle East.'

The CIA analyst said except in certain junctures in west Asia, the regimes of Israel, Saudi Arabia and the UAE have been accountable for highest degree of extra-regional military presence in the region.

Pilar also referred to the meeting of certain officials of the Arab states of the region with Zionist regime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He also quoted the US Vice-President Mike Pence as calling on Europeans attending the Warsaw Conference to leave the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). 'Pence was calling on European governments to violate their own obligations.'

He also described INSTEX as having marginal effect. 'The new mechanism probably will have for now only marginal effect on commerce with Iran.”

The CIA analyst said Pence speech implicitly revealed that the US and not Europeans or Iran violates explicitly both JCPOA and the UN Security Council resolution 2231.

' Unstated in the speech is that the United States—not the Europeans, and not Iran—is in blatant violation not only of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (aka the Iran nuclear deal) but of the unanimously-enacted United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231, which is the international community’s endorsement of the JCPOA.'

Pence asked European governments to violate their commitments and show as much contempt for the UN Security Council as Trump.

'Pence was calling on European governments to violate their own obligations and to show as much contempt for the Security Council as the Trump administration does.'

The CIA analyst also referred to the strong-worded claims of Trump's deputy against INSTEX and said the mechanism is another proof that the world is fed up with Washington's abusing its economic supremacy and is seeking a way to overcome the superiority or negate it.

'Pence also had harsh words about the recently established “special purpose vehicle. It is one more indication of how a world increasingly fed up with how the United States pursues narrow political objectives by exploiting its economic advantages—with the US dollar being the principal reserve currency and New York being at the center of international finance—is finding ways to overcome or negate those advantages.'

He concluded that if the 'isolated superpower' continues doing measures similar to what it does against Iran, it will see its super powers diminish more rapidly and hence, Washington will in the future become less able to impose its will on issues having not the least relevance to Tehran.

'If the isolated superpower keeps trying to do the sort of things it is doing on Iran, it will see its super powers diminish more rapidly and, in the future, will become less able to impose its will on many issues that have nothing to do with Iran.'
