In a phone conversation with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on Thursday, Rouhani said that Tehran can boost relations with Doha in all fields as it does not feel any limits in this regard and both countries enjoy cordial relations.
Regional security and stability can be achieved only within the framework of regional cooperation, he added.
He voiced hope that the joint economic commission will convene again soon after the uprooting of the coronavirus disease, leading to further promotion of economic relations.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, for his part, said that Qatar attaches special importance to development of ties with Iran.
In relevant remarks on June, 30, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani discussed mutual cooperation, as well as the latest regional and international developments during a videoconference.
Zarif and Al Thani discussed issues related to the holding of the seventh meeting of the Joint Economic Commission.
The Iranian foreign minister, meantime, voiced his country's readiness to share its experiences of fighting the deadly coronavirus with Qatar.
During the videoconference, the two sides also discussed the latest regional and international developments.
