Iran, Italy Vow ro Broaden Cooperation

During the phone talk, both sides discussed bilateral and international issues in political and economic fields.

Jalali and Terracciano also reviewed fighting coronavirus and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Jalali referred to US’ illegal measures and the negative reaction of the international community, specially members of the UN Security Council, against the US move.

He stated that taking advantage of JCPOA interests is Iran’s absolute right but unfortunately the country has been deprived of its economic rights.

Meanwhile, Terracciano said his country supports solving issues in the framework of cooperation and multilateralism.

In a relevant development in January, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio in a telephone conversation discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.

During the telephone talk, Zarif and Di Maio exchanged views on ways for broadening of economic and regional security cooperation.

The Iranian and Italian foreign ministers vowed to further expand their bilateral relations in different fields, specially in the areas of economy and business.
