Leader offers condolences on demise of Ayatollah Hakim
TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei offered his condolences over the demise of Iraq Shia cleric Ayatollah Muhammad-Saeed al-Hakim on Saturday.
“I sincerely appreciate the noble delegation of Iran’s Paralympic which once again made the Iranian nation happy by winning medals,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a short message on Saturday night.
The delegation finished the event in the 12th rank by gaining 12 gold, 11 silver, and one bronze medal.
This is a three-level improvement for Iran compared to the previous Paralympics in Rio where the delegation collected 8 gold, 9 silver, and 7 bronze medals, finishing in 15th place.
