Al-Qaeda-Affiliates Reorganize to Start New Alliance in Northern SyriaThe militant groups affiliated to the Al-Qaeda terrorist organization have established the Religion Guards Organization in Northern Syria, calling on other terrorist groups, including Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) and other militant groups to end internal differences to be capable of confronting the army advances in the region, the sources said.

The Religion Guards Organization has also called for end of rifts and clashes between Ahrar al-Sham and the Al-Nusra Front in Northern Syria.

Also, the Arabic-language Elam al-Harbi quoted other militant-affiliated sources as confirming the start of the Religion Guards Organization alliance by Al-Qaeda-linked terrorist groups, mainly Al-Nusra Front that is Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda, in Northern Syria.

The newly-formed organization has also called on Nouralddeen al-Zinki to end infighting with rival terrorist groups in Northern Syria.

The decision by the Al-Qaeda comes against a backdrop of wide differences between the current Leader of Al-Qaeda Ayman Mohammed Rabie al-Zawahiri and Newly-appointed Chief Commander of Tahrir al-Sham Hayat Abu Mohammad al-Joulani.

The main branch of Al-Qaeda in Syria, Al-Nusra Front, has changed its name several times ever since its establishment.

The Al-Nusra first changed its name to Fatah Al-Sham and then to Tahrir al-Sham Front under pressure from the international community to erase war crimes and crimes against humanity from its file during the Syria war.

Well-informed sources reported earlier this month that Abu Mohammad al-Joulani urged terrorist groups to be united to face the Syrian Army troops rapid advances in Southeastern Idlib.

Al-Joulani, in an audio file, called on all the terrorist groups in Northwestern Syria to be united to confront the army's devastating advances in Southeastern Idlib.

He further confirmed that the terrorist front was in a critical situation, calling on the terrorists groups to ignore their differences as the army soldiers were conquering more regions in Southeastern Idlib.
